Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have 5 Leap Frog Reading systems that we can not wait to use but we can't afford the batteries.
We are a class of English Language Learners in a high need community. We are pretty advance in our English but still need some help with reading. The Leap Frog system actually reads to us! The problem is that we can't use then because we can't afford to keep buying batteries for it.
Regular AA batteries do not last very long and are very expensive to replace. If we had about 28 AA rechargeable batteries and 4 chargers we could read with our Leap Frog reading System fore hours without interruptions.
Your donation will help my class to read along with the Leap Frog system without the frustration of having the batteries die while reading and not being able to finish a story.
