We Need iPads for iReady, Part 1

My students need a 32 GB Apple iPad with WIFI and a heavy duty protective case.

My Students

I have a very unique classroom. We have 2 teachers and 28 students. This is a new teaching model at our school and we are working very hard to make sure that each and every minute has a purpose.

My students are diverse and love our class community.

We are in a Title I school so my students have economic and environmental challenges that can affect their learning. I work very hard to ensure that they have a loving, safe, and exciting school experience.

My Project

In our school district we have adopted iReady as our technology based diagnostic and learning system. In the past, students have only been able to access the website through a laptop or tower computer.

Our classroom only has 3 computers designated for students and we have 28!

Each student is expected to reach a minimum of 45 minutes on reading and math instruction weekly. As you can imagine, this is almost impossible for us to accomplish but we somehow manage to get it done. This coming school year, iReady will upgrade their program to be tablet friendly. We can easily meet our goal of 45 minutes with the help of a few iPads.
