My students need 31 copies of D'Aulaires' "Book of Greek Myths" to read as part of a unit on Ancient Greece.

My Students

Zeus, Athena, Hera, Poseidon- Help my students meet the mighty, wise, jealous, and intriguing characters of Greek mythology!

My 7th and 8th grade students attend school in a small, rural K-8th grade building.

Around 60% live in poverty. Many do not have access to books at home or a public library. They appreciate help from DonorsChoose.org. They even buy and sell apples from a local orchard to help fund our DonorChoose.org projects!

My Project

D’Aulaires’ classic retelling of Greek mythology will help build connections between the roots of our civilization and cultures that have been built on Greek foundations since. It is rich in timeless themes and archetypes that will help shape my students' future interactions with literature and art.

These myths will supplement history and language arts lessons.

The comprehensive collection of myths in this book will tantalize our students’ developing brains and bring mythology and world history to our rural, mid-Missouri classroom!
