This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach Kindergarten in a urban school setting. Many of my students come from single family and broken homes where education is not a priority. The students are very precious to me and I like to give them every opportunity to learn. I want to instill in them a love of learning that will carry throughout their educational career and beyond!
Learning ABC's and numbers and beginning to read is hard work for my little geniuses!
Even at this young age, technology plays a big part in education. We use computers and tablets during our technology time to write and listen to stories. We also play educational games.
My Project
My class loves to see the letters on keyboards and write on the computer! It's a whole new experience for Kindergarteners! The headphones will make a difference by helping the kids focus and enable them to listen without the distraction of the noise of other students!
We are learning to write sentences and read!
The computer games we play have stories to listen to and we use computers to write sentences! My students love to learn new things! Writing and reading games on the computer gives them practice for their future education in today's technology driven society! Kindergarten is the building block for all of the other grades!
