My Students

I teach at a school that appreciates and places an emphasis on the arts. Students love to create and express themselves in their artwork. The students' artwork is displayed throughout the community in different offices and businesses.

My students are enthusiastic about their artwork and appreciate every learning opportunity they can get their hands on.

While in the art room, students use skills they learn in their homeroom in subjects like math and ELA. We include them in our art projects. We teach team building, confidence making, and out-of-the-box thinking in art class. The students like that their artwork reflects their own personal style and that they can add individualized details that reflect their own interests.

My Project

The students LOVE coming into the art room. Each student in the school gets to have art for 54 minutes. That is a long time to be in the art room for my smallest artists. In the student's classroom they have flexible seating options such as balls, stools, etc. In the art room we do not have these options for everyone.

The wobble stools will allow the students to sway and rock to keep busy while still working on their artwork.

Some of my smallest artist have a hard time concentrating on their artwork and the wobble stools will help them to stay on task while still keep their bodies busy.
