My students thirst for knowledge and wisdom but often lack the resources to quench their thirst. Please help us achieve higher level classroom discussions through classic literature.
My school is located in the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world.
The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge that contributes to a dynamic classroom. However, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources are scarce.
My Project
Unfortunately, we live in a world where, often times, a child's most basic needs are not met. The need for a warm meal, health snack, or sanitary products often times make it very difficult for a child to remain focused on an academic task. Please help me keep my students nourished and clean. With your help, my students will have full bellies, in the form of a snack, when in school, or as a hot meal, on a cold winter's night. Keeping focused in school is hard enough, without the added burden of hunger. Your support is most definitely vital.
