We Need Energy to Get Through Our Long Afternoons!

Help me give my students snacks to give them energy to get through our long afternoons!

My Project

I have an amazing group of 7 and 8-year-old students in my classroom. They are very eager, hard-working, and have endless amounts of energy. They are willing to try anything and are always up for new challenges.

Have you ever been so hungry that you can not seem to focus?

Well try being a 7 year old who eats lunch at 11:30, but does not get out of school until 3:30. The word "Hangry" comes to mind, and I also picture Grumpy from The Seven Dwarfs.

The afternoons of our school days are so long that my students get sleepy, and often grumpy because their little tummies are hungry!

So to help solve this problem, I provide them with a snack every day at 1:45, as well as a "get up and move" brain break to get their bodies moving. I have found this to help us tremendously in getting through the long afternoons. It also helps their emotional state by nourishing their minds. Please help me provide more snacks for them, as well as treats for doing good things!
