We Need Earth Science Games!

Help me give my students Weather + Sky and Our Earth science games, bulletin board paper, and a computer charger for basic science supplies and fun hands-on learning.

My Students

Our school’s students have a wonderful curiosity that makes my job as a science teacher such a wonderful experience. With so many classes and only me to teach science, I need to find creative ways to bring engaging and instructional online science resources to all our teachers. Finding cultural bridges between science and the arts allows me to better differentiate my instruction and lessons for all my students.

Our Title I elementary school has a diverse population of students who all qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

My science classes are comprised of general education, English language learners, and special education students from many different cultures, all with a variety of learning styles. They are exciting to watch in action and all love to try and discover. So many times I'm overwhelmed by their competence and determination to learn and achieve.

My Project

My science students are independent learners who love to move from one activity to another. Having new science center activities can sometimes be a bit challenging to find and I'm always looking for a different way to "hook" my students.

I'm requesting Weather + Sky and Our Earth science games for fun hands-on science learning.

These games will be used for small group science center time where students can spin off from our whole group instruction to learn more about weather and ......... Weather is embedded in the NYC science scope and sequence. This game will give me a different way to get the vocabulary and concepts across.

Bulletin boards are something I have to always do. These colorful paper rolls will give me backgrounds that will make my boards pop. I also need a new power cord for our classroom MacBook Pro computer as the one we have is getting frayed.
