Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our diverse group of Inner city students are intelligent, kind, loving and determined to make a difference ! Living up to the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, our students strive to leave the world a better place through compassion and service to others.

My Project

The books on this list are meant to be a starting point for a library full of diverse and inclusive literature. Now more than ever, it is necessary for our students to not only be exposed to new and relevant books with authors who look like them, but to find their voices through the pages with characters who share the same experiences. With the pandemic causing financial strain on school communities to be able to purchase books to share with their students, this project is a means to an end.
