We Need Computers!

My students need 2 computers for our classroom to be able to enhance their mathematical and reading skills through technology.

My Students

Our computers are failing! Do you remember how stressful it is to work on computers that fail on you over and over again? Well, that is what is happening in our classrooms and we would love to provide working computers for the students to use in the classroom.

My kids come from diverse communities.

We are a Title One school that has more than 70% student population on free or reduced lunches. Some have two parents who love them while some are raised by siblings and relatives. Many of my students' parents work night shifts or manual labor jobs. Therefore, many of my students are left alone to fend for themselves after school. These students go through many obstacles and school is a comfortable place for them to learn and become highly educated students. They work hard to become the best and all they need is your help to succeed.

My Project

Technology is becoming our future and it is important for students to learn how to work with technology at a young age so we can help them become success, they are our next generation. Computers are also an engaging tool for the students, and also used as learning tools. These computers will be used in the classroom for the Spanish Immersion classroom and the English classroom. Students will be able to enhance their language skills, through the use of games and activities that computer games, and the Internet can provide for the students. The computers will also enhance their typing skills to prepare them for their future education. Typing is an important skill that they need to learn and like every other learning content it is easier to become a better at a skill when you learn at a young age.

I believe after adopting the use of new computers in the classrooms, our students will be more engaged in their learning.

Furthermore, I believe the computers will serve as efficient tools for students' differentiated learning. There will be different applications that we can tailor to individual needs. I expect to see higher level of learning through the use of computers than what I currently am offering to my students.
