Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, like most of the students in Santa Rosa. They love to learn, and have lots of fun in Science class.

Many of my students live in areas that have been affected by the Northern California Wildfires.

We are trying our best in class to support students that have been affected, and maintain a positive learning environment for all. All of my students are supportive and encouraging to each other, and they have limitless learning potential.

My Project

We need six Chromebooks to supplement our class Chromebook cart so that we have enough for every student in my science class! Our large class sizes mean that we do not have enough Chromebooks in a standard cart to have one available for every student.

In our science class, we use bluetooth enabled instruments to measure force, acceleration, and speed.

Students are also able to complete reading assignments that are tailored to their specific language level, and create unique presentations for their classmates. Having one Chromebook per student allows my kids to flex their independent work muscles, and build confidence in their own abilities.
