About My Students

Elijah, Jose, Francisco, Kevin, Aguisel, Joshua, and Demetrius are in love with their Chromebooks, but something is still missing for them...

These students told me that they wanted a way to keep their prized possessions and favorite piece of technology (their Chromebooks) looking brand new. One asked, "Do they sell covers?" A quick search on Amazon revealed that yes they do! Cleaning wipes instantly removed any stray pencil marks and allow students to clean their technology right away.

We use our Chromebooks nearly every hour in class. With the technology in constant use, it is easy for the computers to appear to be in less than perfect conditions. As a team, this group of students collaborated and chose colors. They looked at the pictures, decided on their favorites, compromised with some choices, and even selected colors their classmates who were not in the room would enjoy. They worked together for a common goal to select items for this project. In writing class, students are using the Chromebooks to write an argument and then respond to a classmate's work. In reading, they are drafting extended responses and listening to audio books. In Mathematics, they are watching videos on Khan Academy and answering questions. They are truly tech-savvy learners!

In Their Own Words

Our goal is to be hardworking. These computer covers will help us be hardworking because they are nice. They will help us be good at math. The covers will not let our Chromebooks break. We noticed that there were pencil marks on our brand new Chromebooks. We want to keep our computers looking new. We are responsible, but we sometimes get pencil marks on the white computers. The covers are super cool and awesome.

We chose the colors for the case. We thought about what colors our classmates like. When the covers come in, we will put them on the computers and be careful. We will decide which color goes on which Chromebook. We are going to clean the computers ourselves. We will also clean the desks. We want everything to look nice.

We don't have covers now, and the white Chromebooks get dirty easily. We want to be responsible and have clean supplies. The covers will help the Chromebooks look cool. Please help us have clean Chromebooks! You are awesome!
