Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting hands-on puzzle games for when my students need a break or when they finish their work before others. These games focus on spatial reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving and sequencing. My students don't mind working on these skills when a game is involved. In addition, these hands-on games don't rely on screens and give students a break from all the time they spend online.

Games help my students work on their problem solving skills without pressure or time constraints.

Sometimes, challenging games can give students an extra bit of confidence. In addition, not all students excel in traditional school assessments. Challenging games are another way for my students to see that the way they approach problems and persevere is right for them and highlights different and valuable skills.

With this project, I will be able to add more of the original and popular games that we have in the classroom plus add new ones that students have not seen. My students have been asking for more games and this project will let me make those requests a reality.
