My Students

Our school is filled with incredible students who love to come to school every day! They are such happy individuals with so much empathy and curiosity! The staff at our school learns as much from the students as the students do from us about life and the world.

My students bring many different cultures from around the world into our classroom every day, creating a rich and deep learning environment.

It is an amazing environment to teach about diversity because it is so evident. I am truly indebted to my students for all they teach me about life and their culture.

My Project

Kindergartners are AMAZING students, but during this time of full remote learning--we have learned that they are not only amazing--but also incredibly resilient, flexible and inspiring! These kiddos need books for at home that are the same books that their teachers are reading! Reading books over and over again is such a helpful strategy for young readers to do and this project would allow for students to have a few of the read aloud books at home. I'm also asked for the books in Spanish to send home for our bilingual Spanish students.
