My students are all 12th-grade English Language Learners who have been in the US for less than 4 years. I want to give them the opportunity to do a fiction novel study with a book that is at their English level without being too juvenile. I personally enjoyed "City of Ember" and I think it is the perfect novel for this task.
My students are all on free and reduced lunch and most live below the poverty line.
They don't have access to the same materials as other schools. Please help me get a class set of 30 books for them!
