This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Teacher! There is no sharp pencils!" This is something that I hear every day. "I don't have scissors!" It's another phrase that I also hear daily. We need help with basic supplies.

I teach 21 first grade students in the highly populated California Bay Area.

My students are enthusiastic learners who are always ready to learn something new and exciting. I teach at a Title I school that is STEM focused. We want to give our students the best education possible.

My Project

We are quickly running out of basic supplies in my class. I am requesting pencils for my students. You can't write without a pencil! My students also need new ink pads to stamp out their sight words and spelling words. Our current ink pads are drying out and the students can't see what they have stamped. My trusty scissors have done their work for 12 years and they are ready to retire. The new scissors will allow my students to cut with ease and improve their fine motor skills. Lastly I am requesting wipe & write number charts. These charts will allow my students to practice writing their numbers all the way to 120. Then they can erase and try again the next day. This will save paper and our resources.

Your generous donation will allow my class to have the basics that we need to continue learning.

My students will be so appreciative and excited to get fresh pencils and brand new scissors. Thank you so much for taking the time to support my students.
