We have a diverse group of Pre-K students who are ready and excited to learn! Our school is a Title 1 school. which means many of our students come from low-income families. Often grandparents are the primary caregivers while parents work long hours or in another state. With your support, they can grow, learn, and spread their excitement for education into their future academic career. .

It's hard for a four year old to sit and listen for long periods of time. That's why we learn through play! Our classroom materials are essential to our learning process. The materials we play with allow us to role play, reenact what we have learned, illustrate, create, build, rebuild, count, and manipulate water/sand flow. Sometimes we don't understand the purpose of an object so we play around and test our theories. We make observations and discuss what we notice. My Project
Our Pre-K class ventures outside every day to play, learn, and exercise! We are fortunate enough to have a jungle gym for our kids to climb on and thanks to a previous DonorsChoose.org project, we have sidewalk chalk and tricycles! We would love to expand our outdoor play equipment some more and get some balls!
Help my students learn how to catch and throw a ball, dribble a basketball, hula hoop, and jump rope!
These are simple past times that have been lost to screens. With more play equipment outside, my students will learn that outside is as much as an iPad or a computer. Outdoor play is what they need to learn how to make friends, take turns, and get some vitamin D to stay healthy and strong!
