My Students
Third grade is a huge year for kids to grow and explore the world. My students are extremely curious and kind humans who love to learn about others and the world. They love to use hands-on materials to understand difficult concepts and to problem solve. Within my classroom, we have over a dozen languages and cultures represented. Our classroom diversity provides an amazing environment for us all to learn from each other every day. As a community, we strive to think critically and treat one another with respect and kindness! It is essential that we have the community materials we need to learn and grow together.
My Project
"Can we have more reading time?" "Can I take this book home to finish?" "Do you have a book about...?" My 3rd-grade students love to read! Third grade is an important reading year as we move into chapter books and with remote learning, we need books at home!
I want to send home chapter books series with diverse characters so that students can see that people of all ethnicities, races, religions, and genders do exciting things worth writing about!
Help us send home book sets with characters that look like us! With such an important reading year, we need engaging book series at home to help us grow from graphic novels to chapter books!
