Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are lovers of learning. Learning ignites their minds and leaves them wanting to know more every day.
These students come from a low socioeconomic background, and we are a Title I school which means that students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Our students come to school every day with a desire to learn and grow. They have many different learning styles and need resources to help them reach their various learning goals.
Despite the challenges they face, they know that school is important and education is the key to success!
My Project
I am requesting colored pencils, crayons, markers, scratch paper and book bags. Students will be returning in person this year to a brand new school library and we need all the basics, including art supplies such as crayons, markers, colored pencils and paper. We use these materials everyday to show our creativity in the library. Students will use these materials to color bookmarks and design book covers or draw like a particular illustrator we are studying.
We like to get creative in the library and we need these materials to make our learning come alive.
We are trying not to have students share materials this year due to COVID so it is important that we have full class sets of all materials. Help us reach our goal of having plenty of art materials for students to get creative with.
