Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Since we do not have a ramp and cannot wheel the T.V. cart up to our classroom, my class has to watch educational videos in another teacher's room. This inconveniences the other class because they have to share a small 25" television with another set of 20 students. At times it is difficult for the students to see or hear the television because of the number of students and teachers watching. With our school revamping our educational video and DVD collection, we will be able to use these videos to supplement our teaching. My class will surely use the television/video/DVD combo in the following manner: 1) watch educational videos and DVDs, especially science, health, social studies, and history media. 2) use a Jeopardy game system, I previously bought, to informally assess students' learning in a fun way. 3) display PowerPoint presentations from my laptop 4) watch videos that I record of them reading aloud (reciting poetry, reading their personal writing pieces) and performing dramatic plays.
