We Need a Table for Collaborating and Math Workshops!

My students need a horseshoe table for math centers.

My Students

Typically we have three to four math groups that are designated according to student need. The table will allow us for a more productive learning environment!

My students are caring young boys and girls.

They are enthusiastic about learning and work very hard every day. Many students come from low economic status. They truly look up to teachers as role models. There are a low number of students in my grade which gives me a better opportunity work with the students in small groups.

My Project

My students and myself will use the table during small group instruction. I plan to even use whiteboard paint to cover the surface of the table. This will allow students to directly write on the table using dry erase markers. They will be able to erase and rewrite problems as needed. I also plan to use manipulatives and games at this table.

Donations to this project will help students work collaboratively with one another and myself.

We will have an opportunity to have a surface to work on together, rather than the floor or a small student desk. Achievement will improve with the use of the table.
