My Students
The majority of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and 85% qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. Our kindergarten students represent a plethora of cultures and linguistic backgrounds, and all of them have something special to share with us!
Our diverse school has energetic and eager students who are ready to learn!
Our students are Arabic, Latino, Black, Caucasian, Egyptian, Russian, Burmese, Chinese, Mongolian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese/Vietnamese, Italian/Chinese, and Polish/Chinese. We are learning to be safe, responsible, and respectful in our classrooms and school!
My Project
The new printer will be used to print color copies of learning activities and charts to motivate the students to learn in a visual way. The printer will also be used to create book covers for my students' written stories!
The colorful and bold book covers will motivate my students to write more interesting books and to captivate their audience.
My students will write personal narratives, how-to books, persuasive books, and research non-fiction topics to write research books!
The labels will be used to organize their work and folders and supply bins and baskets. This will help my students stay organized and independent!
