Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember being curious just about everything? My fourth graders want to know everything, but many of them don't have computers or printers at home. For this reason we need a printer in our classroom to feed their curiosity!
My students are from low income working class families.
About 90% receive free or reduced lunch. They are curious about everything. They are enthusiastic about learning and love to further their own learning by researching more on topics covered in class.
My Project
My fourth graders are getting ready for the change coming with the new Common Core Standards. They need a printer in the classroom to begin taking charge of their own learning for the project based classroom we are trying to create. This printer will not only benefit this group of students but many more in the next few years.
My students want to learn, but many of them have the resources necessary to feed that curiosity.
This printer will help them keep their enthusiasm for learning alive. With this printer they will be able to print out documents necessary to create presentations that will not only further their knowledge, but also help them work together in groups.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
