Help me give my students NEW pencil sharpeners for my classroom after TWO pencil sharpeners have shut down this month.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bahari's classroom raised $328

My Students
Greetings! I am J. Bahari and I am an art teacher in Richmond, Va. I teach at a small, neighborhood school in the Northside of Richmond. We have a diverse group of learners at our school, but they are all eager to learn more and explore different possibilities with art. We are a Title I school, and our students may not be as fortunate as others from different parts of Richmond, but we are a student centered community who strive to give our kids everything we possibly can. It is my hope to provide the students a safe place where they are able to not only learn and develop their creativity but also provide a sometimes much-needed escape from the stressors they may find in their lives.
My Project
Why are good pencil sharpeners so hard to come by? Seriously, when I order high quality machines every few years and after only a short amount of time, they stop working effectively! I could understand them breaking down if I was careless with them; however, I train my students on how to properly use my pencil sharpener, but because we use them so often and a lot of times sharpen colored pencils in them, it takes a toll.
I am asking for 2 new X-Acto pencil sharpener for my classroom after TWO pencil sharpeners have shut down this month and my third is on it's last leg.
Hopefully, an even nicer machine might last a little longer...and we can continue creating awesome art with ease! thanks for your assistance
