Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students demand special needs for learning, and they are from low-income families, who require additional support to succeed academically. My students exhibit intelligence, enthusiasm for learning, and a strong desire to meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
The online resources accessible through my classroom computer for the whole class are critical for deepening their understanding and improving their cognitive abilities.
They depend heavily on various online visual/audio resources that facilitate reading scaffolds and help grasp the concepts of literature.
Currently, however, we are reliant on a laptop manufactured in 2015, which has been functioning inadequately. This limitation significantly hampers our classroom activities and leads to an inefficient use of instructional time. It disrupts my students' motivation and engagement. Redirecting and resuming instruction becomes increasingly challenging for both the students and me. Acquiring a new Apple laptop for my class would facilitate a more effective educational experience for my students, allowing them to enjoy a variety of visual aides for better academic achievement. I sincerely believe that access to reliable technology is essential for their success.
