My Students
The current bassoons that are used in my class are starting to fall apart. We have many students interested in bassoon and I want to give students every opportunity to learn how to play.
My students are awesome.
They are highly motivated student musicians and are working extremely hard to learn how to play their instruments. It is a pleasure to work with these band members and see them develop into great musicians. The school is the most diverse school in our district. We are proud to serve such a diverse population and give students of many backgrounds the opportunity to learn and play musical instruments.
My Project
My students need a new bassoon and a few bassoon accessories. My students will immediately start using the bassoon in class. We have 6 students who play bassoon in class but we only have 2 working bassoons. When one of the bassoons breaks some of the students have to go without playing until the repairs are made. I am looking to slowly purchase more instruments and slowly replenish our musical instrument inventory. This would then allow us to teach more students how to play bassoon.
This instrument will be used every day in 5 different levels in concert band at the school.
This will benefit not just the students playing bassoon but will benefit the whole ensemble. It would be a great addition to the class for all students.
