it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a Macbook will allow us to show our classmates where we come from and what makes us special. By connecting our Macbook to our classroom Smartboard, we take virtual class trips to the countries from which we each came. We will invite parents to join us remotely to talk more about their home countries. We will talk about the different kinds of people, clothing, and traditions we can find in each country. This is the platform to build a culturally responsive classroom and develop empathy for each other no matter what someone looks like. It will help us understand that no matter where we come from or what we look like we are all equal and should treat each other as such. We will also use this MacBook to develop our language and literacy skills. We will use programs to learn the language, as well as have the opportunity to mimic sounds and words on our level.
Learning about who we are, loving the skin we are in, and embracing our culture is the key to growing a healthy self-image and developing a positive mindset for the worth we bring to the world.
Thank you for helping us learn better every single day!
