My Students
I teach math and science to 2nd and 3rd graders. To make math fun and engaging for all students students are split into groups of 6 or 7 based on their math level. We need this kidney table in order to make group learning efficient for all our learners.
I work with a diverse groups of students at an international.
About 70% of my students are on free or reduced lunch. Many of them come from tough home lives, however many of them you wouldn't even know because when they are in class they have an eagerness to learn and please.
My Project
This kidney table will make my students and my learning experience more memorable during center time. Having the kidney table allows the students to work together easier and allows me to help multiple students at a time. This table is also great for playing games because not one student is left on the edge and feeling left out. Teachers don't give up their kidney tables and that's why, as a teacher, we can't get them in our surplus warehouse from the district. Please help bring a kidney table into our classroom!
I want to be able to provide better help and support for these students because they need it.
Working at a rectangular table doesn't cut it because it is difficult to get around the table to help everyone.
