Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We need a refrigerator to keep student snacks, treats, and rewards for perfect attendance such as ice cream cold and safe. The fridge we have currently in the staff lounge where items are kept was donated many years ago and it leaks into the shelf at the bottom so you can not store items there because they will get wet and soggy. The new fridge will continue to serve many students for years to come. It will be a positive source because it will continue to supply the school with a place to store items cold and safe. It will continue to help reinforce many of the great ideas teachers have for incentives to improve behaviors and academics. The fridge will not only help my class but the entire school. The staff can put their lunch to keep it cool. Also, the counselors and staff can use it to reward ALL the classes who get cold treats for positive behaviors. Our students deserve to have a safe place to keep those rewards and to continue to get them!
