I have 60 AMAZING students that I serve for math each day. They walk through the classroom door coming from different races, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and learning abilities. We are a family; we work as a team to reach our goals. We live, laugh, and learn with an enthusiasm that is contagious. These students are talented artists, musicians, writers, and historians. They are so eager to learn new things and take that learning and apply it to everyday life. We have all embraced the responsibility of learning and know that our futures will be brighter because of it.
My Project
Our current classroom whiteboards have seen better days. They have been used daily for many years and bare the scars of excessive use. They have become stained and discolored. In lieu of purchasing new boards, I would like to refurbish what I already have. Dry erase resurfacing panels, also referred to as whiteboard resurfacing panels, skins, or sheets, are a quick and easy alternative to replacing whiteboards. A resurfacing panel is essentially a frame less dry erase sheet that sticks over the surface of a chalkboard or stained whiteboard. My students will be able to be utilize the new boards to show their work, thoughts, and examples during whole group instruction, small guided groups, and learning centers. The dry erase boards will be a great teaching tool and reinforce active student engagement in my math classroom.
