Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the pleasure of teaching first and kindergarten students this year online. It has been a challenging year are we learn this new way of learning. It was hard but we persevered!
These students love to learn!
Every student has worked very hard to succeed this school year. We have had some ups and downs with our online learning. We kept going and doing our best.
My Project
We have been working hard all year. We have persevered through the interesting and sometimes difficult world of online learning for kindergarten and first grade. During the year we have learned many skills in reading, math, science, social studies and writing. I would like to continue building their reading, math and writing skills during the summer along with encouraging free play.
Learning to LOVE learning is a goal I have for my students.
I hope to encourage this even during the summer. My students will use some of the items to continue practicing their reading, math and writing skills during the summer. The notebook and pen will allow them to answer the summer writing prompts I will be sending home with them. The workbooks are for the grade level they are moving into next year. This will allow them to practice some of the skills we've learned and see what new skills they will be learning. The other items will allow them to enjoy the summer by going outside and being artists with the sidewalk chalk and working off energy.
