Help me give my students a class library! This is my first year teaching and I want to build a library for my students. These books are for them to read and for me to read to them.

My Students

I have an amazing group of 3rd grade students that come every day eager to learn! They are creative, funny, inventive, smart and oh so patient with what the world has thrown their way in 2020. Even though they are faced with very unique challenges, like wearing masks to school, they come with happy and joyful attitudes. They love school and they love being able to come to school and learn. My students are individuals and I try to individualize my instruction to them as often as posible. Having books and materials on hand helps me do just that.

My Project

These books will be provided for the studentst to check out of the class library and read in the classroom or at home. Some students do not have access to books outside of school and we want to make sure every student has access to books to read. Books also help teach children valuable life lessons. Many books included are to help teach things like kindness, acceptance, communicaiton and being able to speak of for yourself or others. When our students can relate to charaters in books it helps our students navigate their own trials they face in their daily lives. Books can also help them learn valuable life skills they will be able to take with them even when they leave the 3rd grade.
