My Project
Students at my elementary school love to read.One great way to promote reading is to have high interest books available to them at school and at home. Twice a month my school sets up a Book Bonanza. Students can select a book to take home. They can keep this book or trade it for a different book at the next Book Bonanza.
The students love to select new books and find their favorite authors and illustrators. They will be so excited to read and learn something new with the non-fiction texts such as "Ordinary People Change the World" and the "What if You Had" books. Our older students will enjoy reading chapter books like "Slacker" and "The Bad Guys in Dawn of the Underlord." Our beginning readers will be excited about the "If You Give" and the "How to Catch" books. When the students take these books home, they will practice their reading and share these books with their families. These books will be added to our school Book Bonanza collection, so the students will have new books to select and read. Thank you for promoting reading and giving all students access to books.
