My Students

My classroom is full of excited, fun learners. They come ready for anything, and that means a lot because they all come from so many different lifestyles and home lives. We have a beautiful community of military families whose children attend our school. We have seen our fair share of children being reunited with a parent back from their time of service! Our school borders also include an Indian reservation and many low-income neighborhoods. Our student population also has a high percentage of Hispanics. Here, our students receive free and reduced breakfast and lunch.

These kids love to create, investigate, work together, and just learn as much as possible.

One of my favorite parts of this job, as a teacher, is creating learning opportunities for these eager children who come in ready every day. It's so fun!

My Project

Our school is so awesome! Each student belongs to a house in the school! They love it. There are three houses and when you start your education here, you are put into a house (similar to Harry Potter). We have spirit days, activities, trimester winners, and so many fun things going on with our system.

This house system gives students a sense of belonging and helps them consciously follow rules and be kind!

This project will help provide a t-shirt of their house color with the house name on the front. These shirts are so fun, and when we all get together in houses it looks amazing. They each earn points for their house in so many ways! We give them small prizes throughout the year and do fun activities, so that is when we would need Sharpies and gum. I love the way our school is so involved with each classroom and each student. We want them to be excited and proud to go to our elementary school!
