Help me give my students decodable books. With the materials in this project, I will be able to download, print, and make books with the coil binding machine that can be read in the classroom or at home.

My Project

As a Reading Interventionist, my job is to help my students become proficient, fluent readers. In our classroom, students have access to a limited number of decodable books as part of our intervention program.

Students are successful when reading the decodable books that go with our reading program, but many of our learning readers do not have decodable books at home.

The materials in this project will make it possible for us to purchase printable decodable books, copy them on colored paper based on skills they are learning, and add spiral binding so it can be read many times. I would love to create a library of Decodable Books so that our early readers can use the early reading strategies we teach them that lend themselves to decoding words that can be found in these decodable books. With these books, my students will gain the confidence to become lifelong readers and enjoy reading at home.
