As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced with many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. My students lack many of the necessities for school but I do not want that to stop them from being successful.
These scholars are full of energy and curiosity.
They love to learn and look forward to coming to school. It is here at school that they feel safe and can truly show their personalities. Nothing can and will stop these students from being successful this school year!
My Project
This project is for leveled books and a document camera. My students have a limited number of text on their specific reading level. By funding this project students will have more access to text on their individual reading level. The more text they have access too the more they will love reading.
Modeling reading and writing can be difficult without a document camera.
This project will fund a document camera to be used to model reading and writing in real time. Students will more easily be able to see and interact with writing as well as books. Through the use of a document camera I will be able to model where all students can see what is being written or read on the board.
