We Love Read-Alouds!

Help me give my students access to see themselves in stories and learn some of the most important lessons in life. Read-alouds have been a powerful way to connect with my students and I'd love to continue!

My Students

I am a second-year teacher teaching kindergarten virtually. I absolutely love my students; they are so hardworking and they love learning. I have enjoyed watching them (via Zoom) grow physically and academically these past few months. I have 17 students and each of them are different and special in their own way! Each day with them is unpredictable, but that is what I love most!

I am so excited to continue to watch them transform and grow throughout the rest of the school year and take on this virtual challenge with them!

My Project

My 17 Kindergartens LOVE listening to read-alouds. Every day we read at least 2 books, and sometimes more when they beg for more stories! Books, like the ones listed in my project, have allowed my students to see themselves in stories and make connections.

Read-alouds also offer an escape to another world and I just love seeing and hearing my students' reactions every time something funny or suspenseful happens in a story.

My students always look forward to story time and I know that they would be extremely excited and thankful to have a handful of read-alouds to choose from!

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will be used to purchase digital activities that will be completed as a class on Zoom or sent to students via SeeSaw to enhance their virtual learning experience!
