Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A little motivation goes a long way, especially in first grade. Every day I go to work and I am amazed and in awe of the progress, my students have made in just a short period of time. They are simply remarkable. Many enter the beginning of the school year with limited writing and reading skills. Now they can write paragraphs and are beginning to read and write fluently. I am requesting prizes such as bubble wands, stickers, and fidget toys to help reward my students for their hard work.I would like to motivate my students to read by using a book chart. Students will get to earn a prize for every five books they read.

Every week, students are also given raffle tickets when they are caught being safe, responsible, and respectful.

Students are encouraged to get as many tickets as possible. On Fridays, I pick five tickets, and these students get to choose a prize from the prize box. Your donation will help acknowledge and celebrate all of their hard work throughout the school year.
