This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My wonderful students LOVE reading different kinds of books: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and so many more. However, I think I can say without a doubt that among their favorite books, if not their favorite books, are those by Mo Willems. They can't get enough of the very few books by Mo Willems available in the classroom library. They read them and read them again. At this time some of these books are tattered and torn, but this does not stop them from reading. I think I can say that this reading contributes to the improvement many of my students show.

I hope that the repeated readings of these books continue to help my students not only develop a love for reading, but also improve their reading skills.

My students may not have all the resources they need at home, but please, help me give them these resources in the classroom.
