My Project

In my K-2 classroom, I'm constantly inspired by the resilience and unique perspectives of my students, many of whom face challenges associated with disabilities like ADHD and autism. Despite these hurdles, their enthusiasm for learning and exploration shines through. I'm particularly moved by their curiosity and capacity for empathy, qualities that I believe make them exceptional learners. Through this project, I aim to nurture their love for the Earth by introducing them to the wonders of Hawaii's culture and environment.

By providing picture books about Hawaii and incorporating themed decorations and supplies into our classroom, I hope to create an immersive and inclusive learning experience.

These resources will not only captivate their imaginations but also provide concrete examples for comprehension, especially beneficial for students with ADHD and autism. My overarching goal is to foster a deep appreciation for the environment while promoting inclusivity and cultural awareness. Together, we celebrate diversity as our greatest strength, embracing the unique gifts that each student brings to our learning community.
