My Students

The students I teach are creative, bright, and ready to conquer the world! They enjoy hands-on opportunities that involve engineering and technology, which push them to think and learn in different ways.

My students enjoy and excel in Math, Science, and Language Arts.

There are over 725 students in my school who crave challenges which are not paper pencil. They believe in a ​growth mindset and always go the extra mile in all they do. They push me to be the best teacher that I can be every single day.

My Project

I am excited to introduce younger students to literature circles. Through discussions students learn to effectively speak about important aspects of the book while acquiring important listening behaviors. The result is a deepened understanding of story and a healthy attitude about reading!

Literature circles provide students with an avenue to discuss story elements with their peers.

I've selected two books that are sure to be a hit with the students!

Jumanji is about two children named Peter and Judy who find a board game while being home alone. When the children start playing the game, they realize that the dangers from the squares they land on come to life!

Sylvester and the Magic Pebble is about a young donkey, Sylvester, who quickly learns that being happy with what you have is more important than wishing for things you do not have.

Both books have rich content perfect for literature discussions.
