My Students

My first grade students are a diverse group with varying learning needs. My students come to school every day ready and motivated to engage in new experiences.

As their teacher, having the opportunity to see how excited my students are about learning is truly a pleasure for me.

My students are avid readers, who love reading (and listening to) all different kinds of books!

My Project

First grade students each have their own individual book bags that are filled with books that they choose on their own to read either independently, to a partner, or in a small group/one on one with me.

Allowing my students to choose from a variety of new books that interest them will not only increase their confidence, but it will ultimately help them grow stronger in their reading.

Primary students make so much growth in their phonics/reading skills, and these new books will definitely help to make that possible. Thank you so much for your support with this project.
