What are your memories of math class in third grade? Do you remember sitting at your desk, doing worksheet after worksheet of skills? Math needs to be fun and exciting! Students needs to love math time. To accomplish this, I need some help from you!
We are an inner city school, with a very high poverty rate.
100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Our budget is reduced each year, so we are always finding new ways to meet the needs of our students. My students are the most lovable kids you can imagine. I want them to have every opportunity possible! With some help from generous donors, we can make sure they do.
My Project
I have requested several different math games, which I believe will inspire my students to become better at math. An important part of the learning process is to become involved in the learning! Educational games are one way to make this happen. Playing a game helps to re-enforce the skills they have learned during class. Doing worksheet after worksheet is boring and the students lose interest. However, the math games will keep the students excited about learning!
