We Love Learning Centers!

My students need a Double Pocket Chart Stand, various Pocket Charts, Fraction Dominoes and a set of Differentiated Literacy Centers.

This project is fully funded

I teach 2nd grade language arts and math. We are located in a high-need community, so school resources are sometimes lacking. Our school is open-space, which means classrooms do not have all 4 walls, but rather connect openly to other classrooms and the hallway.

The open-space can be very distracting for students. We all work to do the best we can. The lack of walls also leaves us lacking space. In regular classrooms, the walls are a great place for storage shelves and hanging posters.

If we had a pocket chart stand, we could hang our charts. The information in them could be mobile, so that I could use them for whole or small group instruction, or my students could use them in cooperative learning groups. I am also looking for more engaging activities that my students can choose at learning centers. These activities need to be enjoyable and meaningful, such as the fraction dominoes game. I would also like to investigate the Differentiated Literacy Centers book for more worthwhile ideas.

Your help will ensure that my students are actively engaged in independent activities while I meet with small groups for differentiated instruction. You will also be helping keep our learning area neat and organized.
