Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is a Pre-K classroom composed by 20 young students. My students are 4 years old; they are very curious, energetic, dynamic, and respond well to creative learning environments. They can be found reading books, writing, painting, building, singing, dancing, engaged in dramatic play, planning, and creating beautiful things in the classroom. My students also love participating in conversations, group discussions, and sharing their work and personal experiences in front of the classroom. They enjoy being challenged - both mentally and physically.

My Project

Hopping, crawling, flying, making weird noises, worms, spiders, bees, and butterflies – our kiddos are constantly in touch with mother nature and have special curiosity for things that move around them. We will be preparing for our Insect Study this coming spring season and we are in great need of books and other materials. Our goal is to provide our students with hands on learning experiences in the classroom.

By supporting this project, you will allow our students to continue developing their curiosity for mother nature while they acquire new knowledge about insects and living things.

Students will learn what role nature plays in their lives, learn to take care of living things, be responsible citizens, and make connections with math, science, social studies and literacy in a more organic way!
