We Love Floor Hockey!

Help me give my students new hockey sticks for PE classes. The current hockey sticks we use are held together with duct tape.

My Students

My school is comprised of nearly 600 rural and some non-rural students. Our school is also made of varying learning abilities. All of our students, including cognitively impaired, regular education, and autism disorders participate in physical education classes.

As a PE teacher I see the value in fitness, learning together, and social skills acquired in my classes.

Our equipment is in need of repair and my budget is limited. The equipment selected for this project is something that the entire building (of 600 students) will get to use immediately.

My Project

The foam hockey sticks are exactly what we need for safe, fun, and active students in PE. My students love being on the go and truly enjoy the game of floor hockey. We are a Great Lakes school so hockey is a winter-time sport for sure.

These foam hockey sticks will be used by the entire student body, almost 600 students including special needs and autistic populations.

The current hockey sticks we use are held together by duct tape and are not as safe as replacing them with new equipment such as these sticks.

The new hockey equipment would inspire our students to be the best, most fit they can be and have fun at play!
