My Project
In its aftermath, COVID-19 continues to impact student academic learning. I am seeing that the students I serve this year have transitioned to middle school with a different set of needs. During their third grade year of learning, they were isolated at home with minimal academic structure.
I have launched a new coding program, Apple's Everyone Can Code, to engage students and deepen their learning.
An engaged mind allows the students to move forward academically, often overwriting stories of trauma. With the new coding program students are learning new technology platforms to engage in and share their learning. The iPad and headphones will offer more opportunities for coding.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
