Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work in a STEAM magnet school, and it is my pleasure to provide students with challenging and differentiated learning opportunities.

My students are smart, inquisitive, and eager to excel.

They love hands-on adventures in learning and work best when they are given opportunities to think creatively and complete projects. Many of our students come from low-income families, but they have big dreams. With our help, they can become anything their hearts desire!

My Project

My students love the resources they can access on BrainPop, but unfortunately they cannot access all of the activities because our school does not have a subscription. They were so disappointed when they could not access World War I materials while we were learning about it.

BrainPop has not only has instructional videos, quizzes, and games, but students can even design their own videos, games, quizzes, and more, allowing them to learn in a more exciting, hands-on way, and helping to bring our fledgling STEAM school into the 21st century!
