My Students
My students love books and love to listen stories being read aloud. Please help me provide them books and cds to listen to in our new iPod listening center.
I teach full day Kindergarten to a diverse group of 5 and 6 year old studentsw at a small but growing school on the North Shore of Oahu.
This year I have 20 energetic friends in my class. My students love the adventures read-aloud stories and they are excited about learning.
My Project
My students need Early Literacy Student Read-Alongs Library 1 and 2 for a variety of books with read along cds to listen to in our new listening center. Having a listening center within our classroom creates an inviting area where students can escape from the classroom noises, put on headphones and enjoy a good book. Now that I have the technology to create a listening center, I need your help creating a rich listening library with books on cds that can be loaded onto iPods.
The books I am requesting will provide a variety of recorded books that students would be able to select from and enjoy listening to on the iPod.
When students select books it motivates them to be active listeners and creates ownership over learning. Help me empower my future readers by providing us with a listening library.
