Help me give my students art supplies which include colored pencils, paint markers, supply caddy, mirror-me-this document camera substitute, wonder stix pencil sets, hand sanitizer, and synthetic sponges for ceramics.
I teach 450 students in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades at a Title I school where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students have struggles to overcome before they even get to school. Our classroom has a culture where everyone works together and we are truly a school family! Our students are inquisitive, full of energy, and eager for hands-on projects. Every day, our students look forward to an exciting day of learning.
"We believe that all students, regardless of ethnicity or socioeconomic status, deserve equitable access to the highest quality arts education taught by best-in-field certified arts teachers - OCPS Visual & Performing Arts Educators.
During Covid-19, it is so important to support the arts. Our art room provides visual arts lessons that support classroom experiences to encourage students in all grades to seek and construct meaningful art through encounters with art education, discover the significance and value of art in their lives, learn and use new vocabulary, and explore all areas of visual arts. Through art our students learn to communicate in more than just words. Creativity is important to students education and all children need art!
My Project
Art is beneficial and kids love art! It’s that time of year when our supplies have started to dwindle. My students could use new resources to fill their tool kits. This year we have students at home with distance learning, face to face classes at school, and hybrid classes where some are at home and some are at school. Art has enabled all of us to have fun, relax and be creative in this confusing time.
Our students will appreciate your generous donations.
Help give my students some much-needed supplies. We need colored pencils, paint markers, mirror-me-this document camera substitute, wonder-stix pencil sets, hand sanitizer, and synthetic sponges for ceramics.
These new supplies will brighten up our art room. Some new colored pencils, paint markers and ceramic supplies will be a super boost for our students and the art room. Students love hands-on art lessons and these lessons will build imagination and creativity.
There is nothing more amazing than to see students in kindergarten through fifth grade use their new art supplies! These materials will help our students be a little happier!
